Privacy policy
Effective August 28, 2026
Nurture is designed for families. We collect only the information needed to provide your account, synchronize baby-care records, and let invited caregivers collaborate.
Who operates Nurture
Nurture is operated by Kshitij Banerjee. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to ksh.dce@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, Firebase user identifier, and authentication information. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not visible to us.
- Baby and family information: a baby's name, date of birth, profile details, family membership, invitations, and caregiver names.
- Care activity information: sleep and awake times, bottle amounts, breastfeeding entries, diaper entries, timestamps, and notes you choose to add.
- Service information: limited device, app, network, and diagnostic information processed by Firebase to authenticate users, secure the service, synchronize data, and diagnose failures.
- Support communications: the content of messages you send when requesting help.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and secure Nurture, synchronize records across authorized devices, enable family sharing, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. We do not use your data for advertising, sell it, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Sharing and service providers
Information is visible to family members who join the same baby profile using a referral code. Only share a code with people you trust. Nurture uses Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Hosting, to operate the service. Google processes information on our behalf under its applicable data-protection terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Storage and retention
Your account and shared records are stored in Firebase. We retain them while your account or shared family profile remains active. When you delete your account, profiles solely owned by you and their logs are deleted. If other caregivers remain, shared profiles may remain available to them and ownership may transfer so their data is not unexpectedly lost. Firebase backups and security logs may persist for a limited period before deletion.
Your choices
You can correct your display name and permanently delete your account inside Nurture under Account settings → Delete account. You can also email us to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Security
We use authenticated access, encrypted network connections, and Firestore access rules intended to limit each baby profile to its authorized caregivers. No system is completely secure, so please use a unique password and protect referral codes.
Children
Nurture is intended for parents and caregivers, not for use by children themselves. Adults provide and manage information about the babies in their care.
International processing
Firebase may process information in countries other than where you live. Those locations may have different data-protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Nurture changes. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
